As of summer 2009, Wei Hao peng is in the first grade of middle school and he has remained as a top student.

Family Background:

Shortly after Wei Hao peng was born, his mother deserted the family. She was not a local person and was much younger than Hao peng's father so she left and never contacted the family again. Hao peng's father was quite disfigured and could not get another wife so he lived with his mother who helped raise the child. During wheat harvest in 2006, his father was coming home at midnight and fell from a cliff. He was hospitalized when found the following morning but after ten days, he died. They were extremely poor and lived in a cave home and had to carry water in daily. His grandpa had died years earlier. Therefore when Hao peng's father died it was really difficult for his grandmother. They moved Hao peng to an aunt's home but they had no place for him to sleep and they too were poor.

As of Summer 2009, Wei Hao peng is in grade one in middle school. He is cheerful and optimistic. He loves basketball and chess. He has a calm spirit and wisdom beyond his years.
